ABOUT NIENKE

I’m Nienke Tichelaar, a portrait photographer with a studio based in Dordrecht, working both locally and internationally.

I photograph people as they are, without forcing poses or performances.
My work is quiet, focused and centered around presence, expression and light.

Whether someone is experienced in front of the camera or not, my approach is always the same: creating a calm space where people can simply exist, allowing their personality to come through naturally.

 

Most of my work is created in my studio, but I’m also available to travel for portrait sessions, editorial work and selected collaborations.

 

All images are made with attention to detail, atmosphere and the story behind the person in front of the lens.
