ABOUT NIENKE

I’m Nienke Tichelaar, a photographer  with a studio based in Dordrecht, working both locally and internationally. 

 

I photograph people as they are. My work is quiet, focused and centered around presence, expression and light. 

 

With a background in marketing and communication, I look beyond the image alone. I actively think along with you about how photographs can be used, from brand positioning and online presence to print, campaigns and editorial contexts.

Whether someone is experienced in front of the camera or not, my approach is always the same: creating a calm space where people can simply exist, allowing their personality to come through naturally.

Most of my work is created in my studio, but I’m also available to travel for portrait sessions, editorial work, events and selected collaborations. 

 

All images are made with attention to detail, atmosphere and the story behind the person in front of the lens.
